This "spiritual" music was the first instance of African music adapted to the social environment of the New World (in this case, the church, something that did not exist in Africa, and the lyrics of the Gospels). Marco Rosano (clarinet/saxophone) is an accomplished musician as well as a versatile multi-instrumentalist, arranger and composer. Characteristics are often a shimmering texture and loose tonality.
